Extending the Skype service

With the start of the new year, just extended my Skype service for another year.

As I had mentioned in one of my previous posts, we use Skype for both our local and long distance calls within North America, and the calls can be made to regular landline or mobile phones. Last year, we paid $29.95 for the entire year of the SkypeOut plan. For this year, Skype increased the rates to $3/month, or it gives you the option to buy it for $15 for 5 months, or $36 for the entire year for its Skypepro plan. Just bought the plan for the entire year for $36 and also got free 12 minutes of Skype credit. Since most of our calls are either local or long distance within North America, Skype works out well for us. In addition, the plan works out cheaper than Vonage and internet call plans offered by most cable and phone companies.
